Global Ecommerce Company Amazon hosts an annual convention for their global seller community. The event known as Amazon Accelerate, hosts thousands of attendees locally and many more via live and offline streaming. The event completely fills the Seattle Convention Center, previously known as the Washington State Convention Center. Location Connect was there to provide our superior managed internet, networking services, Wi-Fi, onsite video delivery, and streaming support for this massive event.
Our network operation center for the event included a Cisco Nexus core cluster in the convention center NOC, our N+1 redundant network core backstage at the general session, and redundant switch stacks in every breakout room and critical location. Load balancing SDWAN appliances allowed the 7 streaming feeds to be duplicated over dual internet connections. Our network extended into 50 ballrooms, trade show rooms, meeting, and ancillary spaces.
The event included a large exhibit space with attendee catering in the center. Each booth was provided with a wired and wireless network connection. Every key location was fed by dual 10Gbps fiber links.
Each breakout room originated its own live stream which was sent out simultaneously two internet connections by our SDWAN equipment. Additionally the general session and each breakout room was streamed locally via NDI to multiple viewing locations throughout the event. Numerous meeting rooms were provided with Polycom smart conference phones operating on a prioritized telecom network for optimal sound quality. Once the network was completed, we provided onsite client, executive, and demo support for the run of the show.
The show went great and all indications are that they want us back. The truck is now packed for the three day trip back to Los Angeles. Looking forward to next year.
