Say Hello to Our New Wi-Fi Overachiever, the Ruckus R730

Updated: Dec 27, 2021

We have added the new Ruckus R730 Wi-Fi Access Point to our rental inventory. This unit supports up to 1024 clients per access point, which is perfect for high density coverage of attendees or audiences. Multiple R730 access points can be deployed in one area for support of thousands of simultaneous client devices. RUCKUS’ BeamFlex adaptive antennas allow the R730 AP to dynamically choose among a host of antenna patterns to establish the best possible connection with every device. This leads to better Wi-Fi coverage and reduced RF interference.

The Tech Stuff:

This unit features a dual-band, dual-concurrent 802.11ax radio that supports 12 spatial streams (8x8:8 in 5GHz, 4x4:4 in 2.4GHz). It is the perfect choice for data intensive streaming multimedia applications like 4K video transmissions, while supporting latency sensitive voice and data applications with stringent quality-of-service requirements. This unit supports a maximum of 1024 clients per access point and supports Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) which allows each spatial stream to be directed to a different client device. The access point supports 1x 1/2.5/5 Gbps ethernet connectivity and receives power over Ethernet.
